Reddit Scout Pro - Monitor Keywords & Find Leads
Monitors Reddit for keywords, categorizes buyer intent, scores leads 0-100, and sends alerts for high-scoring

Description
Reddit Scout Pro is a Chrome extension that continuously monitors Reddit for posts and comments matching keywords you define. It automatically categorizes each discovery by buyer intent-Solution Request, Money Talk, Pain Point, Comparison, or Recommendation-and scores every result from 0 to 100 based on category weight, recency, engagement, and detail level. When a high-scoring lead (score 50+) appears, the extension sends a desktop notification so you can engage immediately while the conversation is still active. This eliminates the need to manually browse subreddits, saving time and ensuring you never miss a valuable opportunity.
Key Features
- Keyword Monitoring: The extension scans Reddit in the background at intervals you set (configurable in settings). You can also trigger a manual scan at any time with one click. This ensures you always have the latest results without constant manual refreshing.
- Intent Categorization: Each post and comment is automatically sorted into one or more of five buyer intent categories. This helps you quickly identify whether someone is asking for a solution, discussing budget, expressing a pain point, comparing options, or seeking recommendations.
- Smart Scoring: Every result receives a score from 0 to 100, combining category weight, recency, engagement metrics (upvotes, comments), and content detail. High scores indicate hot leads, letting you prioritize outreach.
- Hot Alerts: Desktop notifications are triggered for any finding with a score of 50 or higher. You can click the notification to jump directly to the Reddit thread, ensuring you respond while the conversation is fresh.
- On-Page Highlighting: As you browse Reddit, your monitored keywords are highlighted directly on the page. This makes it easy to spot relevant discussions without opening the dashboard.
- Subreddit Groups: Organize subreddits into named groups, each with its own set of search terms and scan settings. For example, you can create a group for industry news with different keywords than a group for competitor mentions.
- Full Dashboard: A persistent sidebar provides a comprehensive view with four tabs: Hot Leads (score 50+), All Matches, Saved, and Archived. You can filter by score tier, category, subreddit, date range, and content type (post or comment). Results can be sorted by score, date, or engagement.
- Save & Organize: Bookmark discoveries as leads, add notes and tags for follow-up. This helps you track potential customers or important discussions over time.
- Archive: Archive reviewed matches individually or in bulk to keep your feed clean. Archived items can be restored anytime from the Archived tab.
- Scan Progress: A real-time indicator shows which keyword is currently being scanned, with live status updates. You can always see if a scan is in progress or completed.
- Settings Panel: A slide-out settings panel lets you configure scan frequency (e.g., every 3 minutes for Pro), notification preferences, keyword highlighting options, and display settings like dark/light mode (auto-adapts to system theme).
- CSV Export: Download your data or saved leads as a CSV file for import into a CRM or for offline analysis. Free users get 3 exports per week; Pro users have unlimited exports.
- Negative Terms: Exclude irrelevant phrases from your monitoring results. For example, if you track "apple" but want to avoid mentions of the fruit, you can add "fruit" as a negative term.
- Stale Post Badges: Visual indicators flag discussions older than a configurable threshold (e.g., 7 days) so you focus on fresh conversations.
- Keyword Highlighting in Previews: In the dashboard, matched terms are highlighted within result snippets, making it easy to see why a result was captured.
- New-Since-Last-Visit Grouping: The dashboard automatically groups matches that appeared since your last visit, allowing quick triage of new content.
This tool is ideal for SaaS founders tracking product mentions, marketers finding high-value conversations, sales teams discovering warm leads, agencies managing brand mentions across communities, and indie hackers validating ideas. The free tier includes 3 monitored terms, 3 subreddit groups, 25 visible discoveries, 25 saved results, 3 CSV exports per week, and scans every 30 minutes. The Pro tier removes all limits and scans every 3 minutes. Reddit Scout Pro is an independent extension by PlugMonkey, not affiliated with Reddit, Inc. It uses publicly available data and does not automate posting or engagement-it is solely a monitoring and analysis tool.
